Rucon Inc. is a construction consulting firm that manages commercial and institutional construction projects. The company is comprised of a highly knowledgeable team with over 100 years combined construction background. The company started in 2006 by Dennis Russo under the name “Russo Construction Services”, in 2014 the company was incorporated and changed to Rucon Inc. Rucon is a family owned and operated company that was built on core values of integrity, teamwork and cohesiveness. All Rucon employees are OSHA certified and maintain a working knowledge of the latest industry standards. Rucon is a member of the Pittsburgh Builders Exchange. Services Offered by Rucon Inc.:
Pre-Constriction Phase

Evaluate owner’s specific needs and requests in development of projects.

Create front-end documents with architect and owner for bids.

Coordinate mandatory walk through for primary bidders.

Coordinate the phases of projects and assist in the phasing of drawings as part of the contract documents.

Review contract documents with architect and owner prior to bids.

Track and record any and all addendums prior to bids.

Document bid opening process.

Review scopes of work by bidders with architect, solicitor, and owner prior to contract being awarded.

Coordinate prime contractor evaluation prior to contract being awarded.

Coordinate with architect and owner to create payment schedule.

Prepare and contact contractors with notice to proceed.
Construction Phase
-
Schedule pre-construction meetings with architect and primary contractors.

Work with architect and contractors in development of project and procurement schedule.

Work with staff for the relocation of equipment, furniture, and other items to expedite project.

Help determine locations to be barricaded and egress areas to continue operations when necessary.

Development of a safety plan for a safe and clean environment during construction process.

Review and update project schedule and procurement schedule throughout project with architect.

Log, report, and schedule project meetings with architect, primary contractors, engineers, and owner.

Oversee the transmission of all information between architect, primary contractors, and owner.

Act as a liaison between facilities manager, architect, engineer, police and fire departments, and contractors.

Collect, review, and record all clearances and background checks on primary contractor employees.

Create id badge requirements and police job sites.

Conduct daily walk through for safety and construction issues.

Document the project from start to closeout with daily written reports, photos and videos.
Closeout Phase

Coordinate trainings with contractor and owner for all equipment.

Work with architect and primary contractors to create and complete punch list.

Review as built drawings with architect and engineers prior to closeout.

Coordinate the transfer of all documentation and as built drawings from contactor to the owner
